Radiation Oncologists
Dr. Stephen A. Arrigo
Stephen A. Arrigo, M.D., graduated Summa Cum Laude with an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Rochester in 1969 and then attended New York University’s School of Medicine. After graduating from medical school in 1973 with AOA honors, Dr. Arrigo completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1979. Since that time, he has been on staff with Crozer Chester Medical Center and is Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Arrigo has studied and published information on adult Wilms' tumors. His other clinical interests include prostate brachytherapy, permanent low dose rate seed implants and temporary high dose rate seed implants, and prostate stereotactic radiosurgery using CyberKnife technology.
Dr. Steven J. Dibiase
After obtaining his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Dibiase completed the residency program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Dibiase is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and is a member of several professional societies including the American Brachytherapy Society, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the AMA. He has received many honors including New Jersey Magazine’s Top Doctor Award and South Jersey’s Top Doctor Award. Dr. Dibiase currently serves as the Chief of Radiation Services at Delaware Valley Urology in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Dr. Rachelle M. Lanciano
Rachelle M. Lanciano, M.D., is the Chief of the Radiation Oncology Department at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She was board certified in Radiation Oncology in 1977. She has developed her reputation for clinical excellence and research at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, where she practiced for eight years.
Since arriving at DCMH, Dr. Lanciano has developed an intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) program that uses CAT scan and MRI based treatment planning. She has increased access to national trials of radiation through the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG). Board-certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology in 1977, she sub-specializes in genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and lung cancers and is a national expert in cervical, endometrial, and ovarian cancers. Dr. Lanciano is the principal investigator in a completed national trial in the GOG, which studied the benefit of various chemotherapy agents and radiation for advanced cervical cancer. She has been named as one of the “Top Doctors” in the region by Philadelphia Magazine.
Dr. Lanciano joined the Philadelphia CyberKnife team in May 2006 and can be seen at the facility for consultation regarding treatment with CyberKnife radiosurgery. Her interests include radiosurgery for brain, lung and liver metastases, primary lung and gastrointestinal malignancies suitable for CyberKnife, including liver and pancreatico-biliary primaries.
