The first CyberKnife program in the greater Philadelphia area, Philadelphia CyberKnife’s expertise is unparalleled. Our center’s clinical team spearheads numerous research studies with an emphasis on CyberKnife technology. We also participate in national clinical trials funded by the National Cancer Institute to study adult cancers. Philadelphia CyberKnife’s team of internationally recognized doctors has been widely published in clinical journals and regularly presents research findings from studies focusing on CyberKnife treatment of various cancers, including lung, liver and prostate. Medical Director Dr. Luther Brady, recognized as one of the world’s foremost experts on radiation oncology, is a prolific clinical investigator with more than 600 published research papers to his credit. Associate Medical Director Dr. John Lamond has been awarded numerous grants for clinical research. Chief medical physicist Dr. Jun Yang is one of the most experienced CyberKnife physicists in the country, having managed the treatment plans of more than 2,500 CyberKnife patients during the course of his career.
Philadelphia CyberKnife has treated nearly 2,000 patients since opening in 2006. Our patients come from throughout the eastern United States as well as numerous countries around the world, including England, India and Malaysia. Frequently treated diseases at our center include lung tumors, brain tumors and prostate cancer.
Philadelphia CyberKnife is a service of Delaware County Memorial Hospital, though we’re located off campus at 2010 West Chester Pike in Havertown, Penn. Our center also offers free parking. We’ll include a map with the initial paperwork mailed to you, or you can click here for a map and directions.
